A fire & s’mores to end the night. (Taken with instagram)
not looking forward to traffic. or getting made fun of/annoyed/hated on by my extended family. or listening to how my cousin is a florida gators cheerleader superstar and i want tattoos. or the food.
i think i’m only looking forward to walks on the farm, my puppies, time to read and seeing my siblings.
The puppies came before me.

I have a pet peeve in life. That pet peeve is when people take God’s grace for granted.
I don’t, unlike some people, find my peeve to be utterly ridiculous. I find mine to be rather sensible. Sensible, that is, if you claim to be a true Christian and follower of Jesus Christ.
You see, it gets under my skin a great deal when I see people say things along the lines of “I know it’s wrong, buuuut it’s fun.” It doesn’t matter if it’s fun! Sin is supposed to be fun, that’s how Satan gets us! And then, to go and say a day or two later that you love Jesus and the amazing grace He has given you?! I mean, I understand that people will do this from time to time and people will fall. Trust me, I know. I don’t mean to be a hypocrite when I say all of this, because I know I have my moments of this too, everyone does, but there is a point where you are seriously taking advantage of God’s grace and simply sinning deliberately knowing that His grace has got you covered.
God did not give us his grace for this reason at all! He gave us His grace so that we can go out unto the world, save the lost (Matt. 28:19), and display His great name throughout the world and glorify Him in everything we do (Rom. 11:36), and not have to worry about the times we do slip up. God’s grace is NOT so that we can deliberately sin against him.
Have you not read Romans 6:1? It says, “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?”
It says we are not to go on sinning simply because we have God’s grace. So stop! Living a life where you sin deliberately, in hopes that God’s grace will be there to catch you, is not living a life as a true follower of Jesus and God won’t simply accept deliberate sinning time and time again. This is called being lukewarm, and as Revelation 3:16 says, “So, because you are lukewarm- neither hot nor cold- I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”
So either be hot or cold. Be for Him or against Him. Do not be on the fence. It does no one any good for you to say you’re a Christian, say you love Jesus, yet continuously sin deliberately against Him.
Take God’s grace and use it what it’s for. Go out unto the world, save the lost, and glorify Him in everything we say and do. Then you know that if you mess up, which everyone does, God will be there to forgive you because He knows you want to please Him with all you do, and not just have fun. Remember, God knows your heart. So don’t be the average “Christian” who looks to the cross everyday, but rather take up your cross and follow Jesus.
